perfect memory

our brain has 100,000,000,000,000 neurons, and 1 neuron = 1 PC. yep~ personal computer! can u believe it? normally we students only use up 5% of that amount of neurons in our brain, because we do not know the correct way to use it.

my tuition teacher just thought us how to use our brain wisely in memorizing stuff, esp history~ biology~chemistry~moral etc. using just visualizations. well, as you all know that i'm sux at describing/explaning stuff, i'll just get straight to the main point.

these are a list of stuff that you need to memorize in 60 seconds. btw, you must also remember their order.

Twin Tower > balloon > elephant > flowers > tent > rocket > go-cart > Jackie Chan > ladder > panda > noodles > monkey > washing machine > curry puff > CD > train > speakers > cats > chair > umbrella.


difficult to remember? try this. read the short story below *visualize the sequence while reading it*

one day i went to Twin Tower. there's a balloon on top with an elephant sitting on it, throwing flowers. the flowers dropped on a tent. thn suddenly a rocket flew past, crashed onto a go-cart which was driven by Jackie Chan. he then climbed up a ladder, saw a panda eating noodles. then a monkey came and snatched the noodles away, and went inside a washing machine. inside the wachine machine, the monkey found a curry puff. when it was cracked open, got a CD inside. it opened the CD with a pc, and saw a train, which got two speakers in it. inside the speakers got two cats, sitting on a chair, both holding an umbrella.


now, list out all the things in order without looking at the story above, but recall it back.

easy right? it's actually fun to learn in such a way. you create a story to remember the things you want. make it as strange/weird/amazing/crazy as possible, so that it'll held onto your attention :p

the next way to remember things well taught by my teacher is like this. relate the things u wana remember to your surroundings. example, we'll use our body + surroundings.

on top of our body is ceiling/sky, thn will be our head, forehead, nose, mouth, shoulders, chest, knee, shoes, thn floor. 10 items here.

n here's a list of things connected to Independence Day that i wana remember. first is freedom, joy, patriotism, harmony, peace, fun, fireworks, prime minister, holiday, padang merdeka.

now let us relate both of these stuff together.

1. ceiling - freedom | you look up and say :"ah~~ freedom!"|
2. head - joy | you see the head of your fav person and you feel happy|
3. forehead - patriotism |the japanese wears the cloth which got their flag on it on thier forehead|
4. nose - harmony | we breathe in and out..very harmony..|
5. mouth - peace | we must never talk bad about people, so that we'll live peacefully|
6. shoulder - fun |shrugging your shoulder is fun! XD|
7. chest - fireworks |teacher said imagine ur chest goes explode, but i thought of the hairy chest|
8. knee - prime minister |we must kneel down when we see out pm|
9. shoes - holiday |no more white shoes during hols!!!!!|
10. floor - padang merdeka |this one no need to relate one. obvious isnt it?|


yea, these are the two ways that out teacher taught us tonight. i'm gonna try it this time ^.^ who knows it'll really help me in my history or chemistry or bio? well, me and helibely decided to relate stuff inside our PCs to the things we learn, since both of us hog onto our PCs everyday :p like, certain folders represent certain topics. i'm going to use the stuff inside my Anime folder to remember history. maybe Zaman Mesopotamia = Naruto? haha! see first, needa arrange first :p

but not bad hor? these two methods of memorizing :)

wahlau eh...i think its harder to memorise things like that ler...

as for me, i never believe in those techiniques of memorising wo...LOL...

i think if you fully understand it, the thing just pops up easily in your brain whenever you need that info :)

well...just my opinion lor..good luck in ur spm preparation oh ;)

haha! well, different ppl different way of memorising stuff lah. n yep, i agree the understanding part with you. but i still got problems in understanding sum chemistry..so die X.X
