my internet connection had been DOWN for the past 3 days, due to the heavy rain that fell all day long during last Saturday. n do u know wad it's like when an internet lover cant even check her fav websites and blog? IT'S LIKE HELL!!! O.O''''

actually not really like hell lah. just suddenly realised that i have so many free time besides my study time if i'm not on9. *horror* i wonder what would happen to me if i've already finished my SPM and living the 3 or 4 whole months without any books and internet connection.

perfect memory

our brain has 100,000,000,000,000 neurons, and 1 neuron = 1 PC. yep~ personal computer! can u believe it? normally we students only use up 5% of that amount of neurons in our brain, because we do not know the correct way to use it.

my tuition teacher just thought us how to use our brain wisely in memorizing stuff, esp history~ biology~chemistry~moral etc. using just visualizations. well, as you all know that i'm sux at describing/explaning stuff, i'll just get straight to the main point.

these are a list of stuff that you need to memorize in 60 seconds. btw, you must also remember their order.

Twin Tower > balloon > elephant > flowers > tent > rocket > go-cart > Jackie Chan > ladder > panda > noodles > monkey > washing machine > curry puff > CD > train > speakers > cats > chair > umbrella.

difficult to remember? try this. read the short story below *visualize the sequence while reading it*

one day i went to Twin Tower. there's a balloon on top with an elephant sitting on it, throwing flowers. the flowers dropped on a tent. thn suddenly a rocket flew past, crashed onto a go-cart which was driven by Jackie Chan. he then climbed up a ladder, saw a panda eating noodles. then a monkey came and snatched the noodles away, and went inside a washing machine. inside the wachine machine, the monkey found a curry puff. when it was cracked open, got a CD inside. it opened the CD with a pc, and saw a train, which got two speakers in it. inside the speakers got two cats, sitting on a chair, both holding an umbrella.

now, list out all the things in order without looking at the story above, but recall it back.

easy right? it's actually fun to learn in such a way. you create a story to remember the things you want. make it as strange/weird/amazing/crazy as possible, so that it'll held onto your attention :p

the next way to remember things well taught by my teacher is like this. relate the things u wana remember to your surroundings. example, we'll use our body + surroundings.

on top of our body is ceiling/sky, thn will be our head, forehead, nose, mouth, shoulders, chest, knee, shoes, thn floor. 10 items here.

n here's a list of things connected to Independence Day that i wana remember. first is freedom, joy, patriotism, harmony, peace, fun, fireworks, prime minister, holiday, padang merdeka.

now let us relate both of these stuff together.

1. ceiling - freedom | you look up and say :"ah~~ freedom!"|
2. head - joy | you see the head of your fav person and you feel happy|
3. forehead - patriotism |the japanese wears the cloth which got their flag on it on thier forehead|
4. nose - harmony | we breathe in and out..very harmony..|
5. mouth - peace | we must never talk bad about people, so that we'll live peacefully|
6. shoulder - fun |shrugging your shoulder is fun! XD|
7. chest - fireworks |teacher said imagine ur chest goes explode, but i thought of the hairy chest|
8. knee - prime minister |we must kneel down when we see out pm|
9. shoes - holiday |no more white shoes during hols!!!!!|
10. floor - padang merdeka |this one no need to relate one. obvious isnt it?|

yea, these are the two ways that out teacher taught us tonight. i'm gonna try it this time ^.^ who knows it'll really help me in my history or chemistry or bio? well, me and helibely decided to relate stuff inside our PCs to the things we learn, since both of us hog onto our PCs everyday :p like, certain folders represent certain topics. i'm going to use the stuff inside my Anime folder to remember history. maybe Zaman Mesopotamia = Naruto? haha! see first, needa arrange first :p

but not bad hor? these two methods of memorizing :)

damn clever virus

my pc got attacked by a duno wad clever VIRUS!!!!! O.o'''

it sort of transfered itself into my pc system tru a CD tat my fren gav me. inside got the photos for the school magazine u see. n thn i saw a weird folder so i clicked it to check wad it was. n thn sum small window with black insides popped out on my screen, thn another small window tellin me to duno wad n got two buttons there, one 'ignore', one 'close'. so i just clicked close. thinking tat maybe it's a failed folder. since thn, my pc has been acting really strange with the speed is almost equals to an old OLD pc, n i thought it must be my pc got overload with my school mag stuff...

tat happened last Wed, n i onli knew about the virus yesterday, when piaw told me. he discovered the virus tru the CD i gav him last Fri. luckily he's a geek so know wad's wad, n didnt click it. so, he told me to google "virus brontok" to get rid of the virus. BUT, this clever virus seems to know wad i'm looking for n close down the browser itself whenever i typed finish the word n press enter! O.o'''
when i look for sth else, the browser works normally, but when it's come to virus thing, it closes down itself!!! WTF?? even i tried to go to download.com to search for an anti-virus kit, it also prevented me from doing it! n thn, my sis tried to send me the program tru MSN. ok, good, i received it, but when i'm only at the 2nd or 3rd stage of installin, IT CLOSED DOWN ITSELF AGAIN!!! puck lah~~~~~ (X.X)

so now i cant burn any CDs or use any pendrv first, coz this virus really knows its job. T_T

all i can do now is wait for my sis to come back, which is next week, n bring my PC to reformat.....

oh sis...faster come back liaw~~

poster drawing competition. again

wahaha~ this is the first time tat i felt so funny about a drawing competition XD

alright alright. so here's the story. i went n participated in a poster drawing competition this morning (nearly half a year i didnt touch my "weapon's" oledy @ water colour, brushes etc etc) n i got the 2nd prize n i couldnt help lafing at this whole competition. XD wad? u tink i'd sulk at a corner n cry like a baby ar?

anyway, so the title of the poster is "Because of you, Malaysia" , so i drew the 3 main races of our country, the skyscrapers, the ocean n the sea side, the technology of Malaysia, the NS, n of coz, the hibiscus. we're using A3 size paper n gotta finish our work in 2 hours n 15 minutes time. well..i finished sketching just after 15 minutes the time had started (i'm da first one u know? everyone else was still rummaging with their pencil n eraser when i oledy colored finish my 3 main races) by the time i'd finshed everything, there's still 30 minutes left O.o''' my speed is really sth! n thn, when the MC announced tat we still got 3 minutes left, i was the only one hu sed 'Yes!' while the others moaned.

many ppl came around my table to watch me draw + colour, just like the same old days - __ -''' it's either they were attracted by my left hand or were indeed admiring my skills in art, or both XD well, from my past expriences, they come to see both my hand n my skills, esp the aunties with thier children. they will tell their child: "see this cheche very kiang hor? see how she draws? the colour very colourful! u watch her draw n learn from her!" or the kids will come around n "wow" here "wow" there, thn whispered sth about my hand to thier friends. besides these ppl, the reporters tat went there also like to take pics of me when i'm drawing X.X i'm not showing off here. this is the fact, which has happened since i was 4 or 5 yrs old, i'd listened to all of these until i know wad they'll say when they come towards my table XD

so, many ppl expected me to get the first prize, again. but when i saw 6 old, n i mean, really OLD ah peks n ah mahs came into the hall n my fren told me they were the judges, i doubt tat they will gime the first prize. sure enuf, they gav another one the champion. n this is where it all seemed so funny to me.

too bad i dont hav a cam yet. if not i'd take down both mine n the champion's poster for u guys to compare. well, let me ask u sum Qs first. what is the most important in a poster? the wordings right? n what's the style@trend of the poster right now? it's either abstract/simple/retro. n, wad medium sud a high school student uses to draw? it's water colour. crayon, it's acceptable lah, but mostly only primary students use it. so now, i'll describe (as best as i could) about the champion's work.

XX used crayon. the style of XX's poster was abit out-dated i sud say. u know, wif the usual normal old-fashioned poster layout, with each points drawn out in separated sections n VERY detail (for example, we need to add sth about agriculture industry in the poster,they draw out the whole padi field with farmers n the mountain kampung-looking scene at the back, which is no need as we can just draw sum padi n agricultural products to represent it). when me n papa look at the poster from a certain distance, i think is just sum 20 centimetres away, we couldnt read the title@ wordings at all. it's all blur. n when u look closely, u'll found tat the way XX draws still look abit like..erm...primary's...sorrylah, i'm not being vain here, but being in this kind of competitions since 4 yrs old n represented Sarawak in the poster drawing competition organized by the ministry for almost 5 times, i'd seen alot n know wad the outside world wants.

they got put out all the drawings of the winners, n many parents + kids berebut-rebut wana see mine n took pics of it. i stood there, looking at my own work + the champion's, smiling. thn i heard an aunty tok to another aunty, pointing at my poster. : "aiyo~ this one looks so pretty lah~ the contents n the colours all so harmony n nice. do u know who drew this? " thn the other aunty saw me n poke on my shoulder :" you're the one who drew this hor?" i smiled n nodded. they continued :"waseh~ u really kiang leh! i love to see ur poster, esp the wordings, very clear n look so comfortable (comfortable? O.o''') too bad they didnt giv u first.." me continued to smile at them thn walk away. hoho~ everybody's toking about my art n few on the champion's XD boh bien, who told the orgnizer to invite the old old ppl as judges?

another funny thing about this competition is the prizes. ok ok, i'm happy enuf oledy for gettin the second prize with RM 200 n a cert. but there's also an additional prize -------a small hamper (or do u even call tat a hamper?) with 2 packages of toothpaste + one quite good pen. ya, it's toothpaste. first time of my 12 yrs in this art field, to be given two toothpastes as one of the prizes.

why do i say so? take these cases for example.

-annoyed n angry, i posted my feelings about the England vs Portugal match n inside the post, i typed sth like this, "i wish there'll be sum great news tomolo, maybe Brazil will lost n go back home too!" sum hours after posting this, Brazil really got beaten up by France! :)

- in my last post about the haze, i hoped it will soon be over n wished tat rain will come the next day. when i woke up the next morning, i heard thundersss n rain started to fall :)

- Wen commented on my last post, saying tat my wish had come true. well, i only checked the comment today (at 10 ++ am). n i look out from the window. thick haze again. so i replied the comment n typed "maybe i sud write more. i wish i wish i wish i wish the rain will come". sum hours after tat, the sky's getting darker n there came the big storm :)

amazing isnt it? there r wishing ponds, so why there cant be a wishing blog? :p

so, i wish tat i can get straight A1s in my coming SPM!!! wakakakaka!

swt..= ___ =''' I COULD BARELY SEE THE CHONGLING PLAZA WHEN I WENT TO SCHOOL THIS MORNING EVEN THOUGH IT'S JUST WITHIN 1.5 KM AWAY FROM MY HOUSE!!!! O.O''' needless to say... Saberkas was also got swallowed up by the thick haze. n i mean, TOTALLY swallowed up!

my fren brought the newspaper to school today, n all of us rabut-rabut to read about the condition of the sickening haze. *shock* yesterday was around 117 already, no doubt tat today's around 150-200. shit lah, very unhealthy for us yougsters oledy, n they *government* still hvn announced 'darurat' for us :p (btw, our form teacher very jiak lak one. she scolded us for reading the newspaper n warned us not to bring a single newspaper into the class again. wad?? it's newspaper leh! we gain extra knowledeg by reading it n u forbid us to read it?? it's not like we r reading Playboy or sth)

several weeks (i think, didnt reli counted) of damn hot day withought any rain oledy + the HAZE... ... water is running low T_T n i hav to drink yellowish water this few days..eeeeewwww... many ppl is sick too. cough flu fever etc everywhere. my mum keeps telling me to drink more water n also sum 'liang' teh. daddy also bought a pack of mask for me so tat i can wear to school. i wore it today. the others too. so the whole bunch of 5I ppl suddenly bcome nurses/male nurses/doctors/patients/wadever. sum trying to make themselves look like Kakashi sensei from Naruto - __ -''''

Prefectorial Board 2005/06 (end of days)

we finally had our prefect photos for the school magazine taken last wednesday. so, after separated for about a month, we were 'reunioned' with our black shoes n green coat n red tie n pengawas tag, just for the photoshoot :)

we had to wait for like...20 minutes for the VIPs (teachers lah) to come. so during tat 20 minutes, we waited at the canteen n.....it's sort of like a reunion@gathering for the form 5 n form 6 prefects. ooo~~ i MISS them!! esp Amy, Kia Ing, Jeremy, susanto, hon kiet etc etc :p
