See you

This is it. I knew the day would come for me to write this down here.

I am shutting this blog down.

I won't be blogging more. But it will still be here, for people who stumble upon here to read my life of the past 6 years, or for myself if I ever want to reminisce what had happened before.

It's amazing to see how I have changed, the way of thoughts, how I perceived things. The daily routine changes, everything. I am no more the 16 year-old teenage girl who blogged freely about anything that happened, which I do miss those times, where my thinking could be naive and ridiculous.

Working life changes everything. I'm not complaining, but gladly embracing all these changes, as they are proves of me growing, signs of me moving on.

Alright. I'm stopping my post here. Sleep is needed to continue fighting in life.

Thank you for reading my random posts all these years. Thanks for those wonderful days where my blog were at its best. Thank you very much *bows*

Insanity and Genius is logging off.

Goodnight, and good bye :)

where have I gone?

Untitled, originally uploaded by tayeichi.
3 whole months of 0 updates. I have drifted far from the blogosphere.

Lots of things happen in the past 3 months, well mainly job and workplace related. People come and people go, I got attached to some of them and it is hard to let go. How would my working life be like without them at the side to support and basically go nuts with?

The place I'm working now, is a mess, thus people are leaving, like mad. I have to stay, according to my Buddhist Deity Guan Yin. This is not my year, and I have to just stay and observe. I listen and is doing it now, becoming a 'Ninja', what doesn't kill me will make me stronger.

So yeah, things are different; life is different. Following dreams is not an easy task, I have knocked into a big boulder.

20120117

Hi peeps! I am currently sitting inside my own, cluttered with all kinds of treasure but bloody comfortable room. Yes I am back in Kuching, for the very soon to come Chinese New Year, and I am excited about it.

For one thing, I finally have self-earned money to buy clothes according to the style I want, instead of the price tags. Now this is a very comforting fact to me as for the past few years, though a fashion lover, was unable to dress up properly, as I only buy things that are cheap, and you know... cheap things don't always look good, and those damn pretty fashion accessories? Too pricey for me. Well even now some of the items are pricey still, but at least I have a budget for myself, using my own money and spend it wisely. Bought myself couple of branded goods for this Chinese New Year, that I can't wait to get into them and strut some poses in front of the camera.

Another exciting part, is that I'm back early. Leaving the office a week before Chinese New Year, I'm the earliest among my colleagues. Couldn't help it, cheap air tickets are difficult to get. So now I'm here, 4 days to Chinese New Year, need to help up spring cleaning the house too, and do more new year shopping with parents.

And then, being at home means I can be a total kid in front of my parents. Talk nonsense, act nonsense, ove the moments when I can just scream or sing any time I want inside the house, and my parents will just ignore me and continue with their chores.

Chinese New Year, it makes my purse and bank account dry, but comes happiness, to be able to come home and be with family. Oh yeaaaah~~

Off the track!

Currently digging into the latest Clazzi album 'Infant'. Info and download link's here.

Happy 2012!

Attended the countdown party at The Curve together with my buddies. Honestly, this countdown party was my first, and during the whole fireworks show, I'm going to say something dramatic here, but it felt magical to me, to be able to enjoy the fireworks with my close friends and love ones. The experience is somewhat overwhelming to me, and I really treasure it a lot.

Not bad, for by the end of 2011, I spent two festivals' eve with the people I like :)

*deep breath*

It's going to be the last day of 2011. I know I've wrote about this almost every time, that I literally experience the meaning of 'time flies'. A year it has been that I've started working and it feels like just yesterday that I first stepped inside the office.

There are so many things I've experienced and so many kinds of people I've met in just one working year.  I get to know so much more about the field I'm in, the stuff I'm doing, my position, strengthen my skills in compositing, grabbing opportunities and chances, etc etc. For the first time I've met all kinds of people too: the best and the worst, the kindest to the meanest. All of them, different colors and different characteristics, and when people ask me, "what is the hardest thing you ever encounter in your working life", I'll always answer "dealing with different kinds of people".  True story, bro.

But then again meeting people is a good thing, and this year I'm happy to say that I have made new friends, which has now become some of my closest buddies that I can talk random, share some secrets, play game...basically friends that can do almost anything together (well, except going to the loo... ). We've been through happy moments, angry moments, sad moments, funny moments together in the office, and all these experiences have made our bond with each other become even stronger.

In terms of personal work performance, this year for me, is just plain and... nothing big occurred, and I'm okay with it since it's been predicted somehow when I asked for my fortune this year. This first year of my working life, I'm glad to say that at least I;ve utilized it fully to gain more knowledge of my field, and also sharping my skills, not to mention building a whole new social network as well.

Well honestly my 2011 is just passing by too fast that I really don't know how I should really 'reminisce' it like I always did when I was still a student. All I can say is that, my 2011. has been a massive roller-coaster ride. and lets all survive the new year :D

Happy Christmas to everyone! Wish you all merry everyday, enjoy your every day to the fullest, and don't forget to take a rest and have a cuppa no matter how busy your life is :)

Spent my Christmas eve dinner session with my sister and future brother-in-law, and later that, a Starbucks session with one of my colleagues @ buddy Willie. Nothing fancy, but I'm happy with how it went :)

new year's resolution?

no, yes. I'm serious.

20111128

Hi, how have you all been? Sorry I was in hiatus for way too long...used to be an avid blogger, but I think I have mentioned this before, everything is just happening so fast and it could be too many things in a day that the easiest way to express them are through Facebook, or twitter, or just rant to a friend close by.

Seriously these social media thingy is taking over our real social life. Hey wait, at least I still rant to friends. Socially active I still do. :)

I was finally free from any work tonight so thinking I should just use this time to properly lay out my thoughts, and happenings that occurred this month. Hectic no doubt. Flew back to hometown to attend one of my dearest cousins' wedding. A cousin whom I grow up with, who still takes care of me like her own sister. On the day she got married, and saw her mum cried, I cried too. I'm happy for her for she has found her happiness.

The trip back to Kuching was so rush that I didn't really get to fully rest peacefully at home, didn't get to eat any mum's cooking too as relatives and cousin's friends from KL, whom I also know, were there too and we ate out everyday. Still, Kuching food is the best!

It's been almost a year that I started working, and I started to ask myself, how do I feel. Once a while I miss the student days, when everything seemed so easy and carefree, and the only worry were the assignments. Now I've started working, I realized that it's not easy to be a working adult, and somehow it makes me feel good that I'm matured enough to take care of myself, to take responsibility in everything I do.

As for work, sure there are complaints, there are the feeling of injustice and sometimes I do feel like quitting the place. But come to think of it, I've managed all these throughout the year, been through working hell and survived. I have gained no big title nor progressing very far this year, as told by Guan Ying Niang Niang when I asked for my luck and fortune at the beginning of the year. However, no matter how bad the place or the working situation is, I believe they are the tests for me to become stronger and tougher in the field I'm in now, though the work sometimes doesn't feel rewarding at all, but I am grateful enough that I have these jobs to do, to make my life busy, to be able to gain experiences in both technical and social skills, and to mark that I am actually doing something that will eventually lead me towards success in the career I'm in.

I started to think that my English does deteriorate. Actually having some trouble to write my thoughts out smoothly.

Anyways, what I'm trying to say is that, don't whine, don't complain, I'm grateful to whatever I have or doing now. One year is almost over and I'm still healthy, has a job, has really great family, friends and also colleagues (who have also become my best buddies),  enough income to pay the rent, travel around, buying branded items and toys which I dreamt of having when I was still a student.

But yeah this doesn't mean that I'm satisfied and stop here. I'm still looking for a better place to work with, and better salary, but for now, this will do. :)

Haruki Murakami, a Japanese author introduced to me by my ex-lecturer 4 years back, when I asked about novels that are with weird... Out of ordinary stories. My first book of his was The Wind Up Bird Chronicle. It got me hooked. The story telling, the themes, the contents of the story are all so fresh to me, and I love it so much. Since then I've been buying his novel and I had known about his new novel in around... April this year? 1Q84, according to news report it is a hit in Japan, and I saw the Chinese version of the novel in Kinokuniya last August. I asked for the Eng version and know that it will be released some time in October. So I waited..

And finally here it is!!! Saw the 'preorder' poster outside The Curve Borders the other day, quickly made my payment, and went to collect it just this morning. The book is another Harry Potter to me, one of my treasured books.

It's holiday tomorrow, and can't wait to 'sniff' more of my new book and start reading it :)

Thoughts

It's either I'm too busy or too lazy to make the attempt to write something here.

Well sometimes I do think that I deserve more than this. And sometimes I feel like taking a break for month or two, disappear and play missing game. Or making a rash decision, buy an air ticket and go vacation.

That's how work makes me feel these few weeks. And makes me crave for hanging out and craps with my buddies more. Or retail therapy. Have been buying lots of branded goods these days.. Gotta control the temptation.

And I do wish to have a partner to share all my happiness and sadness and troubles with. Right now, everything is just being bottled up inside of me.

Gotta hold on tight there :)

20110918

I've taken a short break from work. 3 days. Friday, Saturday and today, Sunday. It feels really great to be away from office, from thinking about work, and all I needed to think was how to spend my day. Well my initial plan for these days was actually to go somewhere far, somewhere with lots of greenery... a park perhaps. However there's no such park that I can reach just by using public transport, and I'm not going  to spend much on Taxi fares... so in the end I just went shopping.

Mind you.. I shopped a lot. I did.

It just feels great to buy the things you like without any hesitation. Well I feel great too that all the things I bought are branded in bargained prices, just great :D

Bought myself new toys too, as seen in the picture above. A purple Domo-kun and Tofu-san. There are several designs and colors for Domo-kun, they come in boxes, and I had to randomly pick one without knowing which one lays inside. So I got this, a purple carpeted one. Not that I mind but I would still prefer to have the original color, brown Domo-kun, haha!

And I really consider myself lucky, for I bumped into an event held at Tokyo Street, Pavilion. The designer and creator for the famous toy TOFU, Shinichiro Kitai was here having an autograph session on anything TOFU merchandise, well I wasn't going to let this rare chance passes by so I just bought myself another Tofu toy ( I had one already at home, different design) on the spot and let Shinichiro-san signed on its head!

Yep I'm a happy poor kid now. Seriously, with all the shopping done just this few days, I really have to eat bread for the rest of the days. Must control my money well now.

I've been to "KL Design Week 2011" just now. Disappointed really. It's more like "KL Illustration Week" to me, with booths showcasing illustration and crafts, not much on contemporary art and design. I still remember the "KL Design Week" I attended few years back, which was mature and most of the designs showcased were with very strong concept behind, whereas this year, just drawings..illustrations... no conceptual bizarre stunning mind-blasting design that would leave me awestruck, well maybe some illustration pleases me but not to the extend that I would really admire the work. Really... kinda sad. Besides that the location for the event is one of the turn-off reasons as well. It's held in a mall which is still new... barely all the shops are opened, and the crowd is just sad.  Design booths were  like scattered here and there, without any clear directory board for us to refer to. All in all, I am disappointed with the event. I do sincerely hope that next year it will be so much better than this one.

Ok, time to sign off from writing. Before leaving... here's a little sneak peek to a very good news for my family: Finally, and it's a red box.

RED BOX PEOPLE! YAY! :D

20110913

Hello folks!

Trying out the blogger app on my iPhone, now I don't have to worry about lacking time to post! Great! :D

Happy Mooncake Festival people :D had my share of moon cake last night together with sister.

this year I have not done any drawings or any paintings or any photography to celebrate. However, I've finally finish doing the video of my family trip to Hong Kong last May. Finally....

*note* due to insufficient memory card space, all the shots taken are haste and erm... a bit crappy. so bear with the bad editing (if you think so :P).. anyways I've always wanted to create video like this, so I enjoy it very much.

Shot using my little Canon camera, edited using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. Song used: "Summer Holiday" by Wild Nothing

Seriously I'm going to invest in a better camera next time :D

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So as promised, I'm going to blog about my little trips back to Kuching, my hometown.

Do you know how happy I am whenever I get the chance to go back there? Being out here too long, even though the opportunities (not to mention, income) is so much more here, home is still home, where I can truly rest and be a like a childish kid with my family and friends.

Me and sister had to go back twice to settle some documents. We are doing big things there :P Will update you guys about it when the time comes.

on the site. *hint*

have always liked this wide empty field here near my house. reminds me of Nobita and his friends playing baseball in the comic Doraemon :D

the last time we went back, it was the month of Kuching fest. It's been few years since me and my sis last joined the crowd to enjoy this festival. It's one unique festival, where all Kuching-ians gather together to have fun, have lots and lots of different food, play games, enjoy stage shows, competitions, relaxing in a beautiful garden... it's one big festive season that happens annually :D

sis at the entrance of the festival.

this is just 1/5 of the whole festival area. crowd and food stalls EVERYWHERE!!!! it's a food heaven for my dad.

me eating Taiwan sausages :P

and the kids are having fun in the playground with their friends..parents..fellow Kuching-ians :)

It's really wonderful to be back once in a while, to be soaked inside the warmness of being home. and also, mum's cooking, the most healthiest food in the world. Writing all these now makes me home sick. omg...

home. will always be home. and when I retire I'm going to go back there and have my own little kopitiam which only serves one kind of coffee and several bread. nice :)

20110831

My parents are here in Kuala Lumpur now :DDD oh the joy when I can revert myself back into my childish self whenever dad and mum are around, hahaha! we are still kids in their eyes anyways.

So, as promised, I'm going to continue posting about the stuff that I listed down in my previous post. and here it goes:

My new hobby of collecting original CD albums.

Yes people, I finally bought myself couple of original albums, with super duper good deals. You see, somehow it's the cheap CD campaign month for the whole Malaysia, and all the CD retailers in town stack out albums released several years ago and sell them at half price. Luckily enough, I went into one which sell them for only RM9.90. Seems like they really want to get rid of them as fast as possible.

RM9.90. I was so happy when I first saw the numbers, and there were a lot of albums to choose from. Without hesitation I straight away bought 3 albums, altogether RM 30. Oh my god seriously, if I were to buy them at their original price, they would have cost me about RM150!

the first batch of original CD albums that I bought for just RM9.90. Mika's 'Life in Cartoon Motion'; Stereophonics's 'Pull the Pin'; and Arcade Fire's 'Neon Bible'. All albums were first released between year 2006 to 2008.

It's truly my first time having to listen songs played from original CD. I was skeptical at first, wondering whether is there any big difference with the usual ones that I downloaded from the web. Silly me, of course there is, I actually went and compared! I can't describe it well, but the sound is really different, more..compact..firm, and just perfect.

So, after a week, I went back to the same store, bought another 2,

Razorlight's 'Slipway Fires' and Scissor Sisters's 'Ta-dah'. I am truly in bliss for owning them, and also listening from them.

I don't think there will be much RM9.90 CD albums left in that store. Coz when I went back to scout for the 2nd batch, there left only one rack of CDs , instead of the 3 racks when I first went in.

No doubt that I begin to get addicted to collect original albums. Just last week I downloaded the whole new album of Olivia Ong's 'Romance', and I was straight away hooked to the tracks of teh whole album. They are oh so sweet so happy and her voice is so soothing to the ears.

Well then I was somehow having an emo day last Thurs, for my colleagues had left for vacation while I was still stuck in the office, rushing for a project. That feeling isn't good, really, it gets into your mind and makes you do some stupid of rash things, like went and buy the original album of Olivia Ong without any hesitation at all. And this time, it's not RM 9.90, but the original price RM45.90. Though I have no regret at all, for I'm truly in love with her songs :)

One thing I love about albums released in Asia is that they always come in a well designed packaging. They will actually put in so much thoughts in presenting the album instead of just the usual square CD casing.

Yup. I'm a proud owner of 6 original albums now. Can't guarantee that I will stop for now... but I'll try my best to control the urge :) just buy the ones that I truly love, unless, it's another cheap sales like the RM9.90 one, then you'll be seeing me buying more and more :)

20110830

2 months. of no post. I feel very sorry to my blog, and myself. There are times where I really thought of stop blogging and close this blog down, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I mean, I've been writing since years ago and this blog is almost 5 years old, it keeps some of my most funny and dreadful and emotional memories of the past.

After starting my working life, I truly begin to realize why my sister has never really has the urge to blog frequently. Busy. Now my everyday life is occupied with work, work, and work. Well yes I do have my quality social time with my family and friends and colleagues, but yes all these activities have filled up the rest of my days which I can put all those work aside. Otherthan that, all I want is do nothing, think nothing, just rest and relax. Even the thought of blogging seems tiring.

It is true that I have a lot things that I wanted to blog about: work, friends, activities, feelings... but this isn't a student life anymore. Coming out to work, one day you can get to experience all sort of things from sweet to bitter stuff, and by the time you reach home, you just want to forget everything and let your mind goes blank. Most of the time the bitter and sour stuff takes over my mind and when I feel like blogging it, my mind will always replay the words told by my sister years ago: " Don't complain. Learn to appreciate what you have now, complain doesn't bring you anywhere."

I wanted to blog about my happy moments as well, but like I've said, time. Maybe you think this is an excuse, well honestly I myself think so too, I mean we can always squeeze some time out to do the things we truly want to do. But yeah, after a day of work and activities, all I want is just clicking around in Facebook, update the world with short statuses... that's all.

So today is a holiday, first day of Hari Raya. A day which I can truly feel the freedom from work, just for a day, and I decided to blog about my life in the past 2 months.

My last post was in June.. so lets start with July. Hmm.. I think I'll just organize the things that I want to post into categories.

Ok first off. the happy stuffs:

MY 22nd BIRTHDAY!!!

how I celebrated it? with my colleagues, family, and housemates :) not to forget the many Facebookers greetings and wishes. They are so great, that beside accompanying me to karaoke, they even bought my favourite Rabbid toy, huge one!

these people are my awesome team mates, friends, karaoke mates, and gaming mates. awesome colleagues I have... they bought me the cake, and this below here...

oh this white cute creature in the middle. Rayman Rabbids!! I am so loving this Rabbid of mine ok? Oh my god... you know one of my wishes before my birthday came is to celebrate it with this bunch of crazy random colleagues of mine, because I think it's a blessing for me to have known them, to become their friend and I feel close to them after working there for like 8 months. Well we see each other almost everyday and we've been through hell together. the spirit of 'together-ness' is there :)

My cousin Ah Ching, brought me to this little coffee house called Typica located inside Shaw Parade mall, and bought me coffee and a small slice of delicious cake :D and together she brought my birthday presents. haha how thoughtful of her :)

and these are the presents that come together inside a bag :D

a pretty illustration card, a vintage sweet (not shown in the picture), a rabbit illustration tunic (not shown too, it's inside that wrapped box), and a box of tea (in the wrapped box as well) like I;ve said, very thoughtful of her.

Oh ya, and this is a dog plushie that my sis had given to me :)

the dog is super huge and firm, it's not soft, but not too hard either, can be used to whack people XD ok joking. erm.. and there are cards from sister and Clarissa (my sis's friend), Clarissa sis also gave 2 cute Petter Rabbit cups (inside the brown paper bag).

and that blue with white polka dots box, is a present from my ex-senior colleague, MK, who has taught me lots of stuff about the software FLAME, as well as all sorts of working and handling people's philosophy :) guess what's inside? it's a Merry-go-round :D

besides these, I had a great dinner with my housemates as well: Quin and Tham, at Bubba Gump restaurant :)

meet Quin, my housemate who is very kind. She's the one who send me to work every morning, and sometimes cook for us :D

and meet Tham, my other housemate who is very caring and thoughtful. Sometimes cook for me as well... ahahahahahaha I really should learn cooking =___=''' anyways he had also given me a book about knowing God and prayed for me. Thank you so much Tham :)

yup.. love them lots for treating me so good. am very grateful and blessed to have these people around me. I don't know, but for now, birthday to me is just a day like any other, just that it's a day to mark that you are one year older, and life continues just like that. But because of them, I truly had a wonderful weekend celebrating my birthday... a year older, still working everyday, but handling life with more a more experienced brain and tougher mindset, and of course with more people to walk beside me.

I am 22, and I still love my blog's title. 'Insanity and Genius'.

right I know I shouldn't stop writing here but I really have to get to bed. But no worries, I promise I'll continue with the events and stuff happen last month and recently that I really want to blog about. To be sure, I'll list down the topics that I want to blog about first here:

Sneak peek!
- my new hobby : collecting original CD albums *gasps*
- my little urgent trips back to Kuching
- my new buddies and the stuff we have done together
- stuff about work.
- my new fav author!

yep. so. just let me go have some sleep. thank you and good night! :D

20110623

there are several things..thoughts.. that I want to blog about..that I want to confess.. to sort them out. but first I just have to write down this dream of mine, which is still so vivid in my mind.

I dreamt this last night.

Somehow I was outside of the house, house similar to mine back at my hometown. I was doing work using my laptop, with all my fav gadgets at the side: my new headphone, hard disks, tablet, iPhone (i inherited my sis iPhone 3G btw.. she bought a new one), chargers... usual stuff. There are people inside the house.. my housemates if I'm not mistaken. They were chit chatting inside the house while I was outside.. working.

Suddenly there's this loud noise sounding from afar. Loud bang..crash..thunder sounding like the Earth just cracked and buildings crumbling down, all these noises came from the right. Soon the earth started to tremble, and me and my housemates were like standing there, shocked for a few seconds...wondering what the hell was happening.

The noises grew louder and louder, as if whatever's happening is coming at us. I was about to rush inside the house to join my housemate when I turned around again, grab my laptop and some other several stuff that I could grab. I was about to take the headphone when I sensed that somethings is getting so near, quickly rushed back into the house and closed the glass door. Right after I closed it, a strong wind current, more like twister + mist + black vapour stuff swept past. It was so big that it took for about a minute to completely pass by our house, and somehow its edges was a few meters away from the door... we were safe, but my leftover gadgets weren't. I watched in horror as I tried to think back what things I had left behind there and might be now swallowed by the unknown phenomenon. Frantically I looked down to check what I'd got in my hands: my laptop, my first small portable hard disk, and my phone. Somehow I felt relieved.

When the sky turned clear and the monstrous sound was no longer to be heard, me and my housemates slowly stepped out from our house, and were met by a sea of wreckage..debris everywhere. Other people around the neighbourhood came out from their hiding place as well. No one looked panic, just plain worried shown on their faces. Both my housemates soon packed their stuff and left the house, saying something about leaving for a better place to stay or go back to their parents, either one I can't remember now. Anyways I was left alone there for a while.. wanted to call my sister to check out whether if she's ok, but found out that my phone's battery was half gone, I had to find a charger fast, but where. (come to think of it, will there be electricity left? don;t know, it;s a dream anyway)

I walked about on the street, seeing people rushing in and out of stores getting supplies, looking for people, stealing stuff at stores that got wrecked by that passing twister.. or whatever thing that is, and traffic jam everywhere, people are leaving the place; no where I could find a charger for my phone. A working policeman noticed my behaviour, asked me what happen, and lent me his phone so I could call my sis. I called but no one answered. Worried, I thanked the officer and he gave me 5 bucks. (LOL!)

I walked off and continued my quest of looking for the charger (what the hell?)... I found an abandoned phone store..inside the glass case laid several cables stuff.. couldn't identify then properly..so I broke the glass and checked (I still remember inside the dream I was feeling guilty of doing that) , none. And then I thought: hey why not go Daiso! so off I went.. into the nearest Daiso store, which was still open and supplying necessities for the people. I looked around the whole place, just couldn't find the cable, so I gave up.

Outside the store, I could see that something wasn;t right at all. It's really like the world is ending and all I could see was people escaping their homes. Then I met one of my colleagues (not to be revealed who), I explained my problem to him, and he took me to his house, saying that his siblings had solutions to that. His house was huge.. a rich man house, and his sibling took my phone to charge. After a while the sibling returned with a bill in his/her (cant remember is sister or bro) hands, and explained to me the charges... about like 300 bucks.. and the reason why it was so expensive... I can't remember the reason presented in the dream... but i was relieved at least it's charged. I told them I only had 5 bucks with me, so I gave them that, got my phone and about to leave their house, when my colleague's father rushed out to hold me and demanding me to pay full amount, and shouting some insulting stuff at me for being poor. I was hurt and angry at the same time and told my colleague this :"sorry for being your friend". and ran away. For a brief moment I saw my colleague looked angry too. I was really sad.

Looking at my surrounding I realized that my sister's office is just maybe a kilometer ahead, so I decided to walk there and find her. On the way I called my mum, thinking that I should call her first before the phone battery finished again. I told mum what just happened, and surprisingly she didn;t sound panic as she always does in real life. She's just worried, asking whether housemates were with me, whether i was ok. I told her I was walking to sister's office and she advised me to take a cab instead... lol... in the dream I explained the overall situation to her... bad traffic jams.. so walking was a better choice. She said ok, told me to take care of myself, and hung up. And so I continued my journey towards sister's office.

and then I woke up.

IS THIS AN OMEN OR SOMETHING?? O.O'''

a meaning hidden behind this dream of mine perhaps? of why the items I saved must be my laptop, my hard disk, and my phone? and why I looked so hard for a charger, and failed? why I couldn't reach my sister? why the 5 bucks? why the colleague? why the money issue? why the sad argument? why I chose to walk? why I only called my mum after so long? what does that monstrous evil storm twister mist represent?

It was scary.. when I was inside the dream, when that loud sound suddenly appears and getting near, fearing the unknown..and followed by all the things happened inside the dream.

I really have to write them down, because among all the weird dreams that I had for the past few nights (I still remember some of them), this was the most vivid one.

oh dear...

this is going to be a music post!

For years, well maybe not years. Just for so long that I have always wanted a decent headphones that can quench my awesome music experience thirst. Before coming out to KL to study and then work, I've always been using my hi-fi at home to blast out my favourite songs.

see that thing in the middle. Yes, that how I listen to awesome albums with before coming to KL.

Well, no matter how I love my hi-fi. I can't bring it all the way here to KL, so my sister bought me a normal Edifier speaker and also a normal pair of white headphone. Time flies and I've been using them for a few years until my headphone broke down so I got myself another pair which is just RM30++. ok I guess. but still I'm not satisfied. There are just too many awesome music out there and I can't fully enjoy them with the cheap sound system I have, so I make up my mind to buy myself a decent pair of headphones ( I love headphones), and is willing to pay more to get them. I am an amateur audiophile!

Sennheiser is my first choice when it comes to headphones. Tried on once 4 years back, during the time I was still in Kuching and has my hi-fi. A year ago I tried on my friend's Sennheiser which costed RM 300++ and god I got blasted away with the great quality of sound that I've never experienced before with a headphone (at that time I still yet to get a new headphone after my white one broke down). so yeah. since now I'm a working woman i decided to treat my ears and music temptation good. So I bought this, recommended by my colleague.

wait. Adidas Orignal? lets see what's stored inside :D

it's an Adidas Sennheiser HD220. I was ecstatic when I first heard of this. I mean, what? Both Adidas Original and Sennheiser collaborated to come out with this awesome product! And of course I didnt buy it straight away, I've done enough research before I chuck out RM300 for this baby.

below info is taken from Sennheiser website:
Features
  • Powerful neodymium magnets for powerful bass-driven stereo sound
  • Closed supraaural design blocks outside noise; creates a controlled environment for better sound
  • Individually adjustable earcups for a secure and comfortable fit
  • Optimised for iPod, iPhone, MP3 and CD players
I'm not really a technical person, but I know how to differentiate between good quality sound system and the cheap ones. well at least I think I know :P

Anyways, unboxing my Adidas Sennheiser HD220

the product comes with a pretty pouch that's for me to put my headphone in and carry around.

this is my sister trying out my new baby. She's not really an audiophile, therefore she's quite surprise that this headphone actually cancels out all the outside noise when she had them on. plus we are both love branded items so yes she approves :P

so this is my amateur review of this headphone. I LOVE IT! :D though the bass is not as good as the other super duper more expensive Sennheiser products I've tried on, but hell yeah it's waaaaaay better than the ones I had before. I mean, come on, it's RM 300 and I would never imagine myself to spend this much on audio products few years back. I've always told people that I'm a music person, I seek awesome quality songs and music, and that they are my inspirations in motion graphics and design. And now, I have my perfect pair of headphone which projects sound that can sweep me away from reality and be lost inside the music.

well.. for a more trusted and detailed review of this headphone, please head over to this link instead :)

this is another reason why I bought this headphone. watch these 2 videos below.
Adidas All In commercial 2 mins

Justice - Civilisation music video

The power of the 2 videos and the one song got me so hyped up that I really want to experience them in a much much HD quality. Oh the wonder of branding and marketing, plus the need of getting a good headphone led me into buying this Adidas Sennheiser :D

and I am extremely happy now :DDD

Hello happy Saturday morning which I don't have to go to work because it's our nation's King's birthday, and I'm sitting here, thinking of whether I should blog about my HK trip or not. Well, just a brief recap, won't go into details. Just going to blog about the overall feelings I had and thoughts about this trip.

First of all, this HK trip was a family trip, first time ever for my whole family to travel to places farer than Singapore, so it was a very exciting thing for us. My dad has an elder uncle living at Hong Kong so we decided to pay him a visit, turn out that this uncle has sons and the sons have other cousin which is also related to my dad. Basically it's like a super big and far family reunion. My mum's elder aunty lives there as well, and I got to meet an aunt of mine who shares almost the same interest with me.

the big family reunion from my dad's side

What shocked and touched us the most is how kind they all are. Well.. kind is not the best word to describe them. They are beyond kind, they are..passionate in giving us great hospitality..wait, is this even the correct sentence to phrase it? One of my dad cousins gave us one big travel bag of local goods (mostly food) for my parents to take back Malaysia, ONE BIG TRAVELLING BAG!! omg. Another cousin of his payed for the whole trip, including transportation and food, to one of the famous tourist spot of HK, the Dai Yu San , and mind you it's not cheap to pay for all 6 people! and then another cousin had spent his several whole days touring the city with us, bringing us to eat at some of the best Kow Loon and HK restaurant, him paying. While another cousin;s wife fought (and win, lol..) to pay for the bill of the big family reunion dinner one night. As for the relative from my mum's side? My mum's uncle, who's already in his 60s, invited us to their apartment at another side of HK and cooked for us. The food, was native Hakka food, and I swear I had never eaten such warming and delicious food before.

home cook food by my grand uncle!

Till this day I still miss them. Miss all my relatives there. Most of them we had never meet before, not even heard of, until the day my dad set foot on Hong Kong. But still the blood bond is so strong that it didn't need even a minute for the bond to click.

Me and my sister didn't do much shopping there. Well we did buy things, and I managed to get hold of 2 'babies' :) Got myself a FCUK man watch and a Jansport backpack, and also a funky Puma shoes. Rest of the things I got are from the local beauty store, which sprouted out like mushrooms at every nook and corner of the city, and the products? original and damn cheap. Sister told me the shop (which is called Bonjour) is paradise, and you can imagine how long my mum and my sister spent inside that shop. At one time i even got the urge to buy myself a Marc Jacobs bag because everything is just so cheaper over there.

this is how we celebrated my sis's birthday at Hong Kong. the milk is SOO DAMN NIICEEE!!! not like Malaysia one :P

I like Hong Kong, not for the cheap and easy shopping experience, but also for their culture. Yes my cousin from HK told me life in Hong Kong is busy and fast. Everyday on the streets you'll see people walking with fast paced towards their destination, buses filling the roads, and MRT stations are filled with people. The whole city is just so happening, from early morning till late night. I got a bit of culture shock at first when I saw the crowd at the Kow Loon shopping district area (which span over many blocks ) on the night I arrived Hong Kong.

The food there is just authentic and delicious, though I didn't get to eat any of the food selling at local street stalls. Like I've told you, my uncles brought us to eat at local fancy tea restaurants, and I found out that Hong Kong people loovveess to eat, drink tea, and chat with each other to pass their time.

Alright, basically I've summarized much of my Hong Kong experience. Well I didn't really get into the part when I visited some of the famous Hong Kong spots, but that I believe you can read from tourism websites. All I know is that, this Hong Kong trip is special for me and my family, because of my relatives. Am grateful to them and love them to bits :)

family with my mum's aunt :)

*and I forgot to mention that we had a Macau one day trip too :) anyway, photos are up on my facebook page weeks ago. If you in my friend list, yeap you can view them there*
